Cefixime Cefimed is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as bronchitis, infection of the airway tubes leading to the lungs, gonorrhea and infections of the ears, throat, tonsils and urinary tract. Its a class of medication called cephalosporin antibiotics.
